Goku the Saga Continues

He found this really cool picture on the internet and wanted to copy it. He is truly amazing. Love his talent. Never ceases to amaze me.
Ok. So after he finished this sketch, I took this picture of it. I don't like to leave them laying around unless I have a picture of it. Things tend to get ruined or lost in a house with 7 boys. (yes I included Nathan) Especially things that are breakable, loved, important, expensive, delicate, or curious in anyway.
So at bed time, Tyler decided that he wanted to color it in. Took the colored markers upstairs and started working on it. But the color he chose for the skin was orange and wasn't right. Well, the temperamental artist came out. By the end he had it wadded up into a ball and was very upset that he had ruined it with the wrong color and felt it couldn't be fixed. I assured him that I had a picture of it and we could print it off and he could finish it. So now I have to find a way to print it on paper. Big enough.
Anyway. That's the story. I will post again if he gets it finished.

Tear it up.

Not sure what the story is on this one. But I thought it was cute. I got a bunch of stuff from all the boys for their student conferences at school. I need to post some stories that Oscar wrote. And I guess I need to make a blog for Wes and Burton. They are cranking out some cute stuff too.

Art Contest

The contest was kind of hard to figure out what to draw. You have to draw world peace. Tyler's not strong on drawing people. He doesn't like to do it. I think because he doesn't know how yet. He wasn't allowed to use any letters or numbers in the art. He started off with a tree that looked like a peace sign but then decided it didn't look right. So he and Nate talked it out and then they found this picture of the gun and it was all over. He loves drawing those.
Hope he wins. One of Nathan's patients told him about it. So we got our entry in on the dead line.

Really need to keep this kid drawing

There are so many other things that he is interested in. When ever a friend asks him to draw something, he does it. It is so nice that he wants to share his talent. He drew the car and wanted to take it to school the next day. I had to hurry and copy it or he was going to take it.
This on was the design on a tissue box. Just caught his fancy I guess.

Halloween Grim post

Tyler did this one last year. Love it still. Oh by the way, no I am not worried that he loves the grim reaper. He is a sweet boy and well... he is a boy.

This one is from this year. All those lines are drawn. I can't believe how straight they are. He looks up the pictures on the internet and sits down and redraws them looking at the screen. He likes to give them to his friends. Share the love/death.
Tyler says tha the likes the wings on this one.

Inspired

Tyler was inspired by a folder that he got at school. So he copied this car. With his own flare added.

This is part way through the drawing. I liked it like this and wanted to scan it after he was done.

Here is the final product. Both good I think. He is pretty excited about rock band.

We got our art teacher back!

Back to the grind stone. It might have been good to take a break. Tyler is anxious for his next lesson. I think he likes drawing guitars now. So glad you are back Karen.

Found some more pictures in Tyler' Room. He makes these at night and then I find them later.

I wish you could see the original of this one and some of the others. You can tell that he doesn't erase hardly at all. I don't know how he does it.

Tyler actually drew this.  I couldn't believe it when I saw it this morning.  He draws most of the time now before he goes to bed.  He used his own money to buy skater mags.  So he just studies them.

I found this in Tyler's back pack.  Just a doodle at school I guess.

Ok you know how he gets kind of stuck on a subject matter.  Well he is going to be the grim reaper for the 3rd year in a row so here it is death.  Very uplifting.  But I also am amazed again at his skill.  Done with pen.  No erasing.  ????

Here is the newest picture.  Tyler drew this at church on sunday.  Yes it says HATE and LOVE.  Makes me wonder what he understands about the things he draws.  He saw it written on something else.

Classes He Has Taken

This blog is about the pictures that he drew with his teachers. Karen and Tyler sometimes get together. She will introduce him to different mediums, subjects and techniques. They draw for about 45 minutes. This is just a couple of the things they have come up with.

Karen encourages him to put his name on his work.

He has also taken some classes through the city of Gilbert and I was really impressed with these pictures.

The Museum Trip

We went to the Rembrant show in Phoenix. Tyler and Karen Pearce took paper and pencil and would sit on the floor in front of the art and sketch them. Karen enouraged him to find a part of the painting that he liked and copy it.
After the museum we went to Scholtzsky's to eat and he was still in drawing mode. He sketched this out.
He did lots of other pictures and I don't know where they are. See thats what happens when I don't do it right away.
