Classes He Has Taken

This blog is about the pictures that he drew with his teachers. Karen and Tyler sometimes get together. She will introduce him to different mediums, subjects and techniques. They draw for about 45 minutes. This is just a couple of the things they have come up with.

Karen encourages him to put his name on his work.

He has also taken some classes through the city of Gilbert and I was really impressed with these pictures.

The Museum Trip

We went to the Rembrant show in Phoenix. Tyler and Karen Pearce took paper and pencil and would sit on the floor in front of the art and sketch them. Karen enouraged him to find a part of the painting that he liked and copy it.
After the museum we went to Scholtzsky's to eat and he was still in drawing mode. He sketched this out.
He did lots of other pictures and I don't know where they are. See thats what happens when I don't do it right away.

The New Series

As you can see in the past Tyler picks a subject and draws it over and over.

He at one point drew pictures of baseballs inspired by the Matt Williams Logo. Then it was lamps, guns, buildings, churches, and always cars. Now the latest series is shoes.

The first shoe (seen above) was drawn at church. You can see the bench in the picture. Looks like he wanted to roll on out of there right.

Then he just decided that it was fun to draw shoes. Each shoe he draws is interesting and unique.

He found some of these shoes in magazines and Nathan looked on the internet for some to copy.

I especially like the red shoe. He is starting to color his art. He used to be resistant to adding color to the pictures. But now, I think he is beginning to see the benifit and how it looks more complete.
